Love for good meat has always prompted me to be on the lookout for places that serves good grills. Finally got a chance to head over to Grillicious. Below mentioned experience is a narrative of a food tasting and a personal visit.
Lemongrass Mint Mojito: We couldn’t have asked for a more refreshing drink to start with. Perfect combination of lemongrass, mint mixed with soda.
Green Apple and Lime Glacier: Well, true to its name, this one’s a brilliantly presented drink using crushed ice in the form of glacier. Each scoop had the distinct taste of the mix of green apple and lime.
Smoked Mushroom Soup was brilliant with creamy texture, topped with caramelized onions and served with a portion of garlic bread. The flavor was so unique that I very well preferred this over the non veg soup ( which usually doesn’t happen 😉 )
Murg Adraki Rogan Soup: Looked something like a rasam which had ample quantity of chicken. A slight zing to it in the form of ginger also didn’t help.
Masala Papad Platter: Something to keep us busy. A generous platter of 5 assorted papads with different kinds of chutneys and pickled veggies. It was a good DIY experience and an impressive attempt.
Mac and Cheese Stuffed Samosa: Something from the Grillicious menu that I can keep on hogging. Perfectly baked mac n cheese stuffed samosa. Taste it to believe it. It goes really well with the barbecue / garlic sauces available.
American Smoked Barbecue Wings: One of the better wings preparations I have tried recently. Special mention for the in-house barbecue sauce, which unbelievable tasty and brings a whole new dimension to the dish. They made sure it’s not too sweet as well. Highly recommended.
3 Cheese Stuffed Mushroom Tikka: A decent preparation of mushrooms stuffed with mozzarella and cheddar and char grilled.
Green Mango Paneer Tikka, Mex India Chicken Tikka, Piri Piri Indiana Prawns and Thai Red Chicken Tikka were the other starters.
Butter Chicken Lasagna: Nothing extra ordinary, but a decent preparation. However, the lasagna sheets were hardly found in the dish and the balance was a bit lost.
Paneer Kalimiri Kebab Pie and Murg Kalimiri Kebab Pie were equally good and a splendid creation from Grillicious kitchen. Paneer/Chicken pie served with Chef’s special sauce topped with appalams.
Chicken Kebab Pulao: The dish in itself is good. However, the taste of the gravy is the same , or very similar as that used in the pie.
Motichur Rabadi Gulab Jamun Parfait: Sinful rabdi parfait topped with a well made gulab jamun.
Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Oreo Pie: Surprisingly, I would be visiting Grillicious couple of times in the future only to have this as well. Brilliant is the word. Oreo Base, topped with salted caramel, topped with dark chocolate and garnished with oreo crumble. The combination is deadly.
Grillicious is an ideal place to satiate your meat cravings if you know what to order. A tweaking here and there to the dishes will definitely help Grillicious in the long run.
