Japanese cuisine is something which excites, intrigues and surprises many of us. The use of raw meats/seafood may not be accepted by many in India, but for those who does, it sure is a culinary treat. Japanese Master Chef Shohei Nakajima travelled to Pune just to run this fest through the Puneites.
N.B: Today’s the last day of the fest and hence a good crowd is expected, plan for a prior reservation 😉
The Nigri Classic consists of salmon, tuna and yellow tail. Impressive
The Sashimi platter is a specially curated platter with cuts of salmon, hamachi , prawns etc.
Signature rolls – Smoked Salmon ( Scottish Salmon with cream cheese and cucumber), Californian Maki ( Crab, cucumber, avocado and tobiko), Tuna rolls were the rolls available.
Teriyaki Chicken for the mains impressed big time. Perfectly cooked chicken in the authentic in-house teriyaki sauce served with zucchini, asparagus and egg plant.
Togarashi Noodles could be had even without any sides. The slightly sweet and hot sauce made the noodles stand out.
Cotton tofu in mushroom sauce was a good with some stir fry veggies.
Matcha Tea Cheesecake with Coconut ice cream was the perfect end we could have asked for. Brilliant flavours to the cheesecake and well complemented by the coconut ice cream.
