R-Adda is the latest addition to the in-house restaurants of the world famous Ramee Grand. It’s a Bike(rs) themed pub and is mostly evident from their décor and the overall ambiance which includes posters, wordings, and even a community table which is attached to a bike.
The launch party was much talked about in the city with celebrities from cine field and soap operas gracing the function.
Classé is one of the latest entrant into the Pune food scenes. Classé is that kind of a place which I definitely wouldn’t have tried if it wasn’t for a Carpe Diem invite (me being a pure non vegetarian and Classé being a pure veg fine dine).
Pre plated set course meals are their USP and they are doing a pretty good work at that. The ambiance is nothing short of a fine dine feel.
7/10/15/21 course meals are priced at Rs. 599 / Rs. 899 / Rs. 1299 / Rs. 1999 excluding taxes.
Course I – Mocktail…
Blood Orange Mojito: Very refreshing indeed. Sparkling orange juice, mint leaves and lemon wedges with mojito syrup. Perfectly balanced.
Crispy pita strips with hummus and salsa were also presented as a pre-starter (maybe?)
Teddy Boy, Baner has been in news for all the good reasons ever since it started. A brilliant launch party followed by celebrity visits, packed weekends and weekdays. Teddy Boy has now become the go-to place for the party goers who fancy a good roof top ambiance. The view from the roof top is mind blowing.
From the kitchen and the bars, here are a few must haves…
Apple Cinnamon Mojito: White rum, mint and lime with hint of apple juice, apple wedges and topped with a cinnamon stick. The flavors of each and every ingredient in the drink could be identified.
Its Mercedes for Heaven’s sake and you know whats in store for you. Nothing short of a wonder event which will keep you occupied for more than half a day.
What’s a LuxeDrive?
An exclusive event organized by Mercedes to showcase new models, explain and experience the security features along with cooking masterclass by masterchefs and showcasing of decor pieces and collectibles by Gauri Khan’s Designs.
One of the few restaurants that has been consistent in terms of food quality and service is undoubtedly Effingut Brewerkz. Not to forget the brewtiful craft beers hand crafted in their KP premise. Much noise was made by EB for their new branch at Baner and it did live upto all the expectations.
I call Effingut my first home in Pune (considering I come from elsewhere and stay in a PG here). None of my weeks go by without a visit to EB, literally. Hardly anything goes wrong here and its very tough not to be biased towards the place. But when it comes to a blog, truth shall be told J
Effingut Baner opened its door in November 2016. The ambiance is much talked about and the décor is simply mind blowing. Vintage cassettes, books, posters, a hanging Bobby and what not. They have dedicated 2 pages on their menu to include the dishes suggested by members of the much known foodie group in Facebook, Pune Eat Outs. Such are the evidences for the fact that EB is ready to go to any extreme level to satisfy their customers.
A bloggers table saw The B Team for a tasting at Effingut Brewerkz.
Apple Cider, Strawberry Cider, Peach Ginger Melomels are not literally beers. They are ciders and melomels. Basically with minimum level of alcohol and a great choice if you haven’t started with beers as of now ( Its high time). Both the Ciders are really good, but given an option to choose among these three, I would go with the Peach Ginger melomel for its distinct and poking taste.
Ever since PBBG set foot in Pune, they were never shying away from trying out innovative stuff. Initially a launch party with Sunny Leone on the house, followed by Live music, famous DJs, Seasonal menus, Cake mixing for Xmas and what not? What’s in PBBG store this time around is the Sunday Brunch.
Known by ‘Brunch At The Burrow’, the deal offers live grills, egg station, classic cocktails, sangrias, bubblies at the mimosa bar, sundae dessert counter, live oriental counter, a rejuvenating foot spa, an illusionist and some fantastic live music. .
The rate card says this-
Rs. 849 ( Food )
Rs. 1199 (Food + Beer + Sangria)
Rs. 1499 (Food + IMFL + Classic Cocktails)
Beef Carpaccio with Pickled Veggies: This Italian fare was what I kicked off my brunch with. And it was a wonder. Thin sliced beef topped with pickled veggies and herbs in olive oils.
While the birth of bars/pubs in the city has been growing at an alarming rate, the existing and the new ones are burdened to find a USP for the place. Pune is surely spoiled for choices. “If nothing special, why should we visit them?” has been the general thought in the last year or so.
The new place in town is Top Kapi, a child of the ever famous Khaan Saab. So what’s the USP you ask me? Well the place is just to chill out over some alcohol and kebabs and biriyanis. A bar where you will get all the drinks you want, even have a quarter system, plus some lovely kebabs plus some veg options plus biriyanis. Period. If at all the customer wants to have something more, they can always head to Khaan Saab.
